Jung Dong-hyun, the leader of Korean alpine skiing, won the Far East Cup slalom event
Jung Dong-hyeon (35, High1 Resort), the signboard of Korean alpine skiing, won the 2022-23 season International Ski Federation Far East Cup slalom event.
Jeong Dong-hyun won the men’s slalom held at 먹튀검증 Alpensia Resort Ski Resort in Gangwon-do on the 26th with a total of 1:34:49 in the first and second rounds, beating Japan’s Seigo Kato (24) by 1:07 seconds. Poland’s Jasicek Michael (28) finished third with a time of 1:35:70.
Jeong Dong-hyun ranked 21st in the men’s alpine ski slalom at the Beijing Winter Olympics, the highest ever in Korean Olympics.
Among the Asian athletes who competed in the men’s slalom at the Beijing Games, Jeong Dong-hyun’s 21st place was the highest.
Jeong Dong-hyun, a gold medalist at the 2011 Astana-Almaty and the 2017 Sapporo Asian Winter Games, has the highest ever Korean performance at the FIS World Cup, ranking 14th in Zagreb in 2017.
In the women’s slalom event, Kim So-hee (High1 Resort, 26) finished second with a time of 1:34:28. Zelinkova Adriana (28) of the Czech Republic took first place with a time of 1:34:08.
